PRINCIPLES OF SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT

This describes the sustainable investment principles of KJK Capital Oy (hereinafter “KJK”).

Considering sustainability factors in investment activities means issues related to the environment, society and employees, respect for human rights, and issues related to the fight against corruption and bribery.

Sustainability risks mean an event or circumstance related to the environment, society or governance, the realization of which could have an actual or potential negative material impact on the value of the investment.

Consideration of ESG factors and sustainability risks in KJK’s operations

KJK acts as a portfolio manager for AIF funds registered in Luxembourg. KJK does not offer other asset management services, nor does it currently offer any other investment services.

As the fund’s portfolio manager, KJK follows the ESG operating principles and operational guidelines of the fund it manages at any given time.

As the fund’s portfolio manager, KJK takes care of the investment activities of the funds it manages, including applying the responsible investment policies applicable to the fund at any given time. The current ESG principles of each fund are published in the respective fund’s investor material.

Principle adverse effects on durability factors

KJK Capital follows the current ESG operating principles of each of the funds it manages, according to which its investment activities do not take into account the main adverse effects on sustainability factors for the time being. This is because non-financial data is still not available in satisfactory quality and quantity to allow us to adequately assess the potential adverse impact of its investment decision on sustainability factors. This position will be kept under review and will be updated in the short to medium term when the managed AIF’s adopt a different position.

Consideration of sustainability risks in rewarding KJK

For those KJK employees for whom the consideration of ESG factors and sustainability risks is part of their job duties (fund portfolio managers), part of the qualitative assessment of each employee’s performance takes into account the fund’s current operating principles and operational guidelines. However, due to the nature of KJK’s portfolio management activities, consideration of ESG factors or sustainability risks is not an independent criterion for remuneration, as the remuneration is based on a fixed fee.
